CBCS

The Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) is based on the Cafeteria Approach, where a student can opt (or choose) certain subjects from a bunch of available subjects suited to personal interest. it allows a student to study cross-discipline subjects along with the primary course where the student is enrolled into.

Gauhati University adopted the CBCS system long back in 2009. However, it was limited to only few departments. Starting from the Academic Session of 2016, we have implemented the CBCS system across all disciplines.
